STAN
Lokacija: Jedna od mnogih novoizgrađenih zgrada u Beogradu
Period: 31.07 – 30.08.2009.

Rad Stan sadrži fantaziju o sopstvenoj sobi.

Trag o boravku u stanu ostavlja isključivo sam posetilac.

THE APARTMENT
Location: One of many newly erected buildings in Belgrade
Period: 31.07 – 30.08.2009

The work Apartment is about one’s own room fantasy. Although, the apartment itself isn’t a fantasy, it is real and it is yours for a limited period of time.

In one of many newly erected buildings in Belgrade, a private apartment, where no one had ever lived in before is being used for the purpose of this work. The flat is on the top floor of the building and the view from the terrace reaches the nearby elevation. One could say that the work is attempting to establish an inner disposition into a certain perspective. In this instance, it is legitimate to state that this work enables a variety of infinite sight points.

At the beginning, the visitor is being given a notebook with the address of where he/she should be going and the set of keys to the apartment. There are several potential triggers in the apartment that one could use to associate and interact with other visitors that were already in the apartment, or are about to come.

A trace of one’s sojourn in the flat is made solely by the visitor him/herself.
The visitor can come on his/her own or with one person only.
In the course of one day the visitor can stay in the apartment as long as he/she likes.
If desired, the visitor is allowed to return to the flat during that very day.
After the stay, the visitor is asked to hand over the notebook to the next visitor of one’s own choice. This procedure is being repeated daily during the course of the exhibition.
The visitor knows beforehand he would be given directions he should follow. This path is just a foundation for something that may or may not happen.

We thank Mr. Miljan Pajović on his generous support.
